Where to Celebrate the 4th of July in Marin County
There’s nothing quite like the 4th of July in Marin County. From parades to pancake breakfasts, picnics to fireworks, there are plenty of ways to celebrate with the community. Here are some of our favorite local events happening this year.
Sausalito 4th of July Parade, Picnic & Fireworks
Sausalito’s parade begins at 10am and runs down 2nd and Main Streets, followed by a picnic at Dunphy Park with food and entertainment. Then head to Gabrielson Park for live music from 6:30-9pm and fireworks at 9:15pm. Visit their website.
Corte Madera-Larkspur 4th of July Parade & Festival
One of Marin’s biggest 4th of July events, this beloved parade kicks off around 10:30am, starting at Redwood High School and winding through downtown Larkspur along Magnolia Avenue, into Corte Madera by Tamalpais Drive, and ending at the Corte Madera Town Center. More info here.
American Legion’s Pancake Breakfast & Gin Fizz Booth
Start your day in downtown Larkspur at 500 Magnolia Avenue with a hearty breakfast benefitting American Legion Post 313 and Boy Scouts Troop 43. Breakfast runs from 8-11am and features pancakes, sausage, juice, and coffee. It’s the perfect stop on your way to the Corte Madera-Larkspur parade.
Homestead Valley 4th of July Picnic & Parade
Celebrate with the Homestead Valley community at this classic neighborhood gathering. The day begins with a parade at 11am, followed by an all-American picnic with food, drinks, and entertainment. Visit their website.
Novato 4th of July Parade & Buckaroo Breakfast
Novato hosts one of the largest 4th of July parades in the Bay Area. The festivities kick off with the 71st Annual Buckaroo Breakfast from 7-10am at the Redwood Credit Union on Grant Avenue downtown, serving eggs, pancakes, sausage, and coffee. The parade begins at 10am and features classic cars, vintage military vehicles, Irish bagpipers, a Chinese drum, and more. Event details here.
Ross 4th of July Parade & Picnic
The annual Ross parade starts at 11am, followed by a celebration on the Ross Commons from 11:30am-2:30pm. Enjoy live music, food, games, and more. Learn more.
Marin County Fair in San Rafael
The Marin County Fair is practically synonymous with fireworks in Marin. Fair admission includes free carnival rides, exhibits, live music, and more. Fireworks light up the sky at 9:30pm every night from July 2-6, 2025. Fair hours are 11am-11pm (last entry at 10pm). Get details.
